Don’t know but someone’s attention has caught Shahid Kapoor’s eye. Shahid Kapoor’s film ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ released on Friday, which first crossed Rs 300 crore in ‘Padmaavat’ and then crossed Rs 300 crore in ‘Kabir Singh’, is more than Rs 10 crore of his films. Joined the list of films with low openings. Made for around Rs 50 crore, the opening of this film was exactly equal to that of ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’.
Shahid Kapoor first created an atmosphere in the Hindi film industry with ‘Animal’ director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film ‘Kabir Singh’ and then washed away that entire branding by doing a web series. People did not even know when his previous film ‘Jersey’ came to the theaters and when it was released.
As far as his first OTT film ‘Bloody Daddy’ is concerned, Jio Studios, which spent crores of rupees on the release of the film ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, did not release this wonderful film of Ali Abbas Zafar in theatres. Shahid Kapoor’s status could have returned with ‘Bloody Daddy’, but it could not happen…
…But this could not happen and now the situation is that there is no brand, no collection and no crowd. The theaters showing the film ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ are seen yearning for the audience since morning. Even the audience who watched the first day first show did not find anything special in the film. If the film’s first day collection is any indication, the film’s box office journey seems to be quite difficult.
The film could not collect 20 percent of its budget. And, the hype of the first day, the pairing of Shahid and Kriti, a strange love story, all together could fetch only Rs 6.50 crore for the film ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ at the domestic box office on the first day.
Talking about Shahid Kapoor’s 10 films which got the highest opening at the box office, it includes five films which earned between Rs 5 crore and Rs 10 crore and these five films are not hits. The first day collection of the film ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ has been only Rs 6.50 crore and this is exactly equal to the first day opening of Shahid’s super flop film ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’.
Shahid Kapoor’s 10 highest grossing films on the first day are as follows:

Padmavat (2018) | 24.00 |
