Ranji Trophy
BCCI officials have already directed Kishan to play in Jharkhand’s final league match against Rajasthan in Jamshedpur from February 16. But due to travel fatigue, Ishan returned home midway through the South Africa tour and did not play any match after that.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may make it mandatory to play three to four matches in Ranji Trophy to participate in IPL. BCCI can take this decision because young cricketers are giving priority to playing in IPL instead of domestic cricket. In this context, BCCI is planning to take this step due to Jharkhand wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan not playing first-class cricket and focusing only on IPL. At the same time, it has been told in many media reports that Ishaan will also play in the DY Patil tournament before the IPL.
Ishan had already been instructed.

Will not be able to participate in the auction
A senior BCCI official said, “The board can make it mandatory to play three-four matches of Ranji Trophy. If the player does not do this then he cannot play in the IPL and even if his franchise release him, he cannot participate in the IPL auction. At the same time, the state associations believe that BCCI sould make some strict rules in this regard so that young players do not look down on Ranji Trophy. It is also learned that the Indian team management is worried about players who do not want to play in Ranji Trophy even if they are fit.
